Cron Job - Definition
A Cron Job is a scheduled task under a UNIX-type operating system. Cron is the name of program that enables UNIX users to execute commands or scripts (groups of commands) automatically at a specified time/date. Cron is a daemon, or program that is always running, and is similar to the Windows Scheduler.
