Error Code - Definition
An Error Code, also known as a status code, is a 3-digit code number assigned to every request (hit) received by the server. Most valid hits will have a status code of 200 (“ok”). “Page not found” errors will generate a 404 error. Other common codes are: 401 (“Authorization Required”) and 500 (“Server Error”).
