Google Earth is a free interactive mapping application that allows users to navigate not only our little old planet Earth, but the nearby stars and galaxies too. When you launch Google Earth, it will automatically connect to Google’s servers and provide you with detailed satellite imagery. You can zoom in to view any continent, country, state, city, neighborhood, and even their roads, buildings and local points of interest.
Google has also integrated its local search and mapping applications to let us find our local information. The interface includes a search query box and a list of various local resources, such as airports, schools, parks, hotels, restaurants and cafés. Google Earth is a free download for Windows, Linux and the Mac OS.
