Google Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to send specialized queries to Google. This could be a query for a phone book listing, for the definition of a word, or for the square root of 7,569. Based on your query, Google determines the specific information you’re looking for and automatically returns the top results. Using Google SMS isn’t quite the same as using Google.com. For example, when you search on Google.com, your search results typically include links to web sites. Google SMS results are text-only and there are no links or web pages. Visit the Google SMS web site to see sample queries and types of results.
