Jargon - Definition
Jargon refers to terminology that relates to a specific activity, profession or group. Often used in Internet discussion groups, it acts as a kind of shorthand for technical terminology, in order to quickly express frequently used terms between members. For instance, words like Web Crawlers and Spiders are considered Jargon. Computer acronyms, like RAM (another name for memory), are also considered Jargon.
