Outbound Link - Definition
An Outbound Link is essentially a link that directs users to a site that exists outside of your site. Although rarely termed as such, it can also be referred to as any link from one document to another. For instance, in the Google AdSense program, links that are displayed within their various ad units are actually outbound links as they direct you to a different web site. Outbound Links can be created using text links or images.
