Query - Definition
A Query refers to making some sort of inquiry or putting forth a request for some type of information. For instance, every time a person types anything into one of Google’s search boxes for the purpose of retrieving information, this would be referred to as a search query. This request for information will consult some type of database so that the appropriate and relevant information can be returned back to the user.
