Return On Investment (ROI) - Definition

In the Google AdWords program, Return On Investment (ROI) is the ratio of the cost of advertising relative to the profit generated from conversions such as sales or leads. Your Return On Investment indicates the value to your business gained in return for the cost of your ad campaign. You can watch the 'Intro to ROI' video located on the Google web site to learn about ROI and why it’s important to your AdWords account.
