Text Overlay Ad - Definition
In the Google AdWords program, a Text Overlay Ad is an AdWords ad format for targeting text ads to streaming video content on the Google content network. An AdWords text ad appears within the bottom 20% of a video stream’s play space in a video player on a content publisher’s page. Text Overlay Ads will be labeled with the 'Ads by Google' notation. Text overlay ads will appear for 20 seconds at a time. Ten ads will cycle through the stream, and if the user doesn’t click on the final ad it will automatically minimize.
